Collapsing FSGS, All Medicine Does Not Effect: What to Do
Question:
My daughter has FSGS (collapsing type) for 8 years. She is 26 years old. She took ARBs, ACE inhibitors, cyclosporine, azathioprine, stem cell therapy, but they did not take effect. Also corticosteroids and mycophenolate mofetil (Cellcept) did not effect. Disease is going bad. TA 125/80 mmHg; Creatinine 2.91; Urea 103; Albumin 2.9; Urine protein 8435 mg/24 hours. What to do? Please help.

Answer: The collapsing variant is considered the most rapidly progressive form of FSGS. It does not typically respond to therapy. The scarring quickly affects the entire filter, causing it to collapse. Most patients that are diagnosed with the Collapsing variant will require dialysis or a kidney transplant within one to two years despite treatment. This variant was previously thought only to effect people with HIV. It is now found in increasing numbers of HIV-negative patients. Are your daughter carrier of HIV? However, do not lose hope at any time.

Here we recommend your daughter to try a systemic Chinese medicine treatment. It is Toxin-Removing Treatment, also known as Detoxification Therapy. Clinical practices proved that the effect comes out better and quicker when there is less accumulation of waste products in the blood.

This treatment can regulate the balance of anti-inflammatory and pro-inflammatory cytokines to control the development of kidney disease. It can also restore cells’ normal metabolism function, correct the dysfunction of renal inherent cells and remove the old and new toxins inside and outside cells so as to eradicate protein, occult blood and edema. Besides, it can promote qi circulation and remove obstruction in the collaterals so as to discharge toxins from the cells, tissue fluid and blood. It can also restore the cells’ self-healing ability and detoxification ability to reduce the relapse of disease.

After about one week’s treatment, swelling will disappear. After about half month’s treatment, creatinine and urea level will decrease. Proteinuria will reduce. After about one month’s treatment, FSGS will be under control, and kidney function will be improved. You said your daughter tried stem cell therapy before. Toxin-Removing Treatment can make a good internal environment for the survival of stem cells, so the effect will be better after the treatment.
